Open OnDemand¶
Introduction¶
This section covers the use of the Open OnDemand Server for Mississippi State University ARC Linux Clusters. This is intended for users with a basic understanding of how cluster computing and job submissions operate, along with how the ARC development environment functions. If you are a new user with no prior experience with the Linux Command Line Interface (LCI) or cluster computing, then you should refer to the Getting Started section.
Overview¶
Open OnDemand is a user-friendly front-end interface for access to the High Performance Computing resources at Mississippi State University ARC. With OpenOnDemand, you can upload and download files, create, edit, submit, and monitor jobs, run GUI applications, open a remote desktop, and connect to the terminal on a login node. All of these functions are available via a web browser that requires no client software to install or configure.
